What an excellent driving instructor. Having passed my test 20 years ago and then not driven since, I was very nervous about getting back on the road. He gave me the confidence and skills through a course of refresher lessons to regain my independence as a driver, and we had a lot of laughs along the way. I Had the pleasure of sitting in on one of Ak’s lessons in preparation for my part three (ADI) exam, it was a great learning experience seeing how he made the pupil feel at ease, past across the key reference points and encouraged the pupil to analyse their own faults in order to gain a greater understanding on how to drive the vehicle safely and to the standards required.

I recently sat in on one of Ak lessons whilst training for my part 3 ADI (approved driving instructor) exam, I found his method of teaching meticulous, taking time to explain in great detail all aspects of the chosen subject. Ak takes time to ensure that his pupils are comfortable with what they are doing and encourages them to take more responsibility as the lesson moves on, he is patient and calm throughout this giving an enjoyable and informative all-round experience. I was learning to drive again after a 14-year break and wanted to learn in an automatic car. Akhtar was recommended to me by a friend. I found Ak to be very helpful and found that I picked things up and learnt quickly and could see progress during every lesson. As a woman in my late 40’s I decided that I should try learning to drive again.
I had failed a number of manual driving tests over 20 years ago through nerves and thought that learning on an automatic might be better for me.
After contacting AK driving school Ak took me for a trail lesson to see if I wanted to go ahead and book lessons, I was still very nervous but I think from that first lesson Akhtar had more confidence in me then I had in myself.
It has taken quite a few months of ups and downs and Ak has pushed me to do better even when I didn’t want to and did not think I could, he was 100% committed to me passing first time and believed that I could.
Ak prepared me for my actual driving test with mock tests and going through all the test requirements and manoeuvres, he said we would not do for the real test unless I was ready as there is the option to change the date.
We did not move the test date and I went and I passed first time. Thank you, Ak.

Ak Automatic driving school great and Ak is a fantastic instructor. I had previously 2 different instructors and failed my test 5 times but Ak really went the extra mile. After 15 hours of lessons with him I passed with only 2 minors. Can’t rate AK Automatic driving school highly enough.
